Residential
Income-qualified PNM customers can receive up to $750 on the purchase of an EV charger. To help get your new EV charger installed, PNM also offers rebates up to $3,500. Review the requirements and find out if you are income-qualified here.
Income-qualified PNM customers can receive an instant rebate when purchasing an electric vehicle from a participating New Mexico dealer. Get up to $4,000 off when purchasing or leasing a new or used electric vehicle, and up to $1,000 off when purchasing an electric bicycle. Qualifications and restrictions apply.
Public Charging
PNM wants to ensure there are sufficient chargers for their customers wherever they are and provides rebates to income-qualified facilities that install chargers for public use. Program Authorized Contractors will help determine which chargers are best for your facility and take care of the installation for a seamless process.
DC Fast Chargers
Direct Current Fast chargers typically use 480 volts. They are the fastest way to charge a compatible EV. Typically, 80% of the battery can be charged in just 30 to 60 minutes, helping your customers quickly recharge.
Level 2 Chargers
Give customers a reason to stop and shop. Level 2 chargers typically use 208 to 240 volts and can add between 12 to 25 miles per charging hour to your customer’s battery.
The PNM EV Charger rebate program offers a rebate of up to $5,000 for Level 2 chargers and up to $50,000 for DC fast chargers per charger port for income-qualified facilities. Must meet LMI Community Qualifications based on site within the Low-Income Population of 80-90 Percentile or Greater per EPA EJScreen Mapping Tool.

PNM is invested in recharging New Mexico’s workforce. If you have a commercial fleet, we have rebates and resources to help you keep them charged. Program Authorized Contractors are committed to ensuring quick and easy installations to keep your fleet going.

Residential

How do I apply?
PNM is dedicated to ensuring EV chargers are available to its residential and commercial customers. Rebates are available through our Easy Install method if you are working with one of our Program Authorized Contractors or by using the Online Application if the equipment has already been installed. Proof of income qualification is required.
Find a Program Authorized Contractor
Program Authorized Contractors are licensed electricians, trained on the details of the Transportation Electrification Program. Their knowledge of the program makes installing your charger easy by completing the application, providing you with a rebate, and taking the guesswork out of installing a charger.
